Coming
up is the first edition of the Italian Net.Art Festival:
BananaRAM .
September 18-22 installations, performances and
conventions at the Mole Vanvitelliana of Ancona
in order to present and discuss the new artistic
trends that use digital technologies and refer to
the Internet as a creative input and medium. Cyberspace
here affects reality, making the audience-artwork
interaction possible.
During the five days a study will be conducted about
the transformation of the relationship between net.art
and unconscious needs. The
exposed projects offer a wide view of possible artistic
net approaches:
from the alternative browser Netomat by Maciej Wisniewski,
to the pirate telecast
from the streets of Los Angeles by graffiti artist
Joey Krebs, through the virus biennale.py by 0100101110101101.ORG,
created for the Biennale d’Arte di Venezia
del 2001.
The Infective [epidemiC], milanese software artists
who will present their last work:
The peer to peer AntiMafia, while Nekada will bring
to Ancona supernew Community Mapping and the italian
Limiteazero the interactive installation Active
Metaphore.
Another preview at the exhibit is dot.store by british
group Thomson & Craighead, also the last version
of the game of Spanish Retroyou, known for his brave
videogame deconstructions The Church of Software
presents the preview of the beta version of SoftAid,
humanitarian helps program under the form of file/software
